Each team runs one time only.  Winners are determined by fastest times.  Cut off time/placing rule applies on all events. Judge's decision is final.

Team Sorting & Penning at Cedar County Fair

The Cedar County Ag Society is planning a fun-filled evening of sorting and penning for all ages of cowboys and cowgirls this year on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. (Note evening change).  The event will be held at the Cedar County Fairgrounds in Hartington, NE.  The entries will close at
 7:00 p.m. with cash basis only.  (NO CHECKS accepted).

The participants may enter with a team of three, or if you do not have a team, you may enter in the "draw partner sorting" and/or "draw partner penning" with a $10/person per entry.  Each team runs one time only.  Winners are determined by fastest times in both the penning and sorting.  The cut off time/placing rule applies on all events.  The judge's decision
is final.

There will also be a 1 on 1 youth penning event.  This is for youth, 16 and under, with a limit of one entry per youth.  Bar V Arena - Irene, SD will be sponsoring this event so there will be no entry fee for the youth.  There will be awards for the 3 fastest times.

This popular horse event is exciting for everyone!  The crowd will observe the work of amateurs to professionals penning a group of three and/or sorting the cattle in numerical order in the shortest time.
